"Marcahuamachuco" means "The upper part of the land of falcon.” It takes about 2 hours to walk around the 7 main buildings, including the Funeral Tower and Monk's Hill. This complex of buildings, built between 350 and 400 and primarily used as a political and religious center, was abandoned in the 13th century and is a complex of mysterious ruins. There is also a possibility that it will be registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way back, you can walk for about 2 hours while enjoying the spectacular views of the Andes Mountains.
