セマナ・サンタには、「十字架の道」という、キリストが十字架にかけられるまでの14の場面を再現した式典が様々な地域で行われます。近くの教会の儀式に参加してみました。
During Semana Santa, the 'Way of the Cross' ceremony, which reenacts the 14 scenes leading up to the crucifixion of Christ, is held in various regions. I attended a ceremony at a nearby church.
ウアマンとは、ケチュア語で鷹を意味するそうです。16世紀中ごろに建てられたトルヒージョで最も古い教会の一つ。
Huaman means a falcon in Quechua. It is one of the oldest churches in Trujillo, built in the middle of the 16th century.

最初の出発の場所。なぜかバーの前。The first "Estación". In front of a local bar.
行進の出発。14か所の家の前に作られた祭壇のを回ります。The Procession departures. It goes around the altars built in front of 14 houses.
それぞれの祭壇で、神父さんがお祈りと聖水による祝福。日本の檀家回りみたい。
At each altar, the priest prays and blesses with holy water. It's like the monk going around Japanese parishioners.
行進が通り過ぎた後の祭壇。The altar after the procession has passed.
教会に帰還。The procession turns to the church.
観光地の教会のように派手な演出は全くありませんが、地元の人々の敬虔な神への思いに感動しました。
Although there was no flashy proseccion like the churches in touristic spots, I was moved by the local people's devout feelings for Jesus.
